• About Us

Snow Pride of Canada is a not-for profit registered organization, headed and operated entirely by volunteers from the Ottawa/Gatineau/Outaouais region.

•To provide exciting and unique opportunities for community building within the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer community.

•To bring together diverse backgrounds, uniting them under the common objective of acceptance and inclusion.

•To hold events that are tailored to enjoying an open, safe space for the LGBTQ2 community to meet, resulting in unique and memorable experiences.

•To create a stronger community bond among the LGBTQ2 community.

The Snow Pride yearly event takes place in late February at Mont Ste. Marie, Quebec. Conveniently located just over an hour from downtown Ottawa, and 2.5 hours from Montreal. It features the highest vertical drop in the Outaouais region of 1250 feet (3rd largest in Quebec). MSM offers a multitude of runs for various levels of skier. There are also trails for snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

Every year we hold "ICE BREAKER" at a local venue for drinks and munchies on Friday night. Everyone catches up and get ready for a great weekend!

On Saturday, along with skiing/boarding, MSM offers a variety of things to do throughout the day. In the afternoon we feature the "DRAG RACE" down the mountain in favourite "tickle trunk" attire. Then inside at The Ryan II, we have a huge Après Ski with prize giveaways and a live band!

Saturday night we hold our annual theme party inside the main lodge at Mont Ste-Marie. Each year it's different - so be sure to watch for the current year theme!
